1. What inspired you to become a teacher?

I was inspired to become a teacher because of my deep love for children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives. The idea of helping young minds grow, learn, and discover their potential fills me with joy and purpose. I believe that every child can succeed, and as a teacher, I get to be part of their journey of learning and self-discovery.

2.  How many years of experience do you have as a school teacher?

I have 15 years of experience as a school teacher. Over the course of these years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students and subjects, each bringing their own unique strengths and challenges. This experience has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, constantly learning new strategies to better support my students and create a positive learning environment. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of so many children.

3.   How long have you been at Saints?

I have been at Saints for 14 years. I initially started my journey here and spent several years growing and learning alongside the students and colleagues. I left in 2019 to explore other opportunities, but my love for the school brought me back in September of 2020. Returning to Saints felt like coming home, and it has been wonderful to reconnect with both familiar faces and new ones, continuing to contribute to the growth and development of the students here.

4.   What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is being able to teach the subject I love and helping my learners develop a passion for it as well. Watching them grow in understanding and discovering the joy in learning something new is incredibly rewarding. I also love working with colleagues who truly care about me and each other. The sense of teamwork and support among the staff creates such a positive and encouraging environment, not only for the students but for everyone in the school community. It makes coming to work each day feel like a shared purpose, and I’m grateful for that connection.

5.  What motivates you and gives you energy?

What motivates me and gives me energy is seeing my students grow and succeed. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching them overcome challenges, develop new skills, and reach their potential. Knowing that I have the privilege to guide them on that journey is incredibly inspiring. I’m also deeply motivated by the belief that God gave me the ability to be a teacher. I view teaching as a calling, and it fills me with purpose to know that I am fulfilling that purpose by helping shape the lives of my students and making a positive impact in their lives.

6.  What are the qualities that you would like to see the learners showcase in your class?

In my class, I would love to see learners showcase qualities like curiosity, resilience, and a Godly character. Curiosity is important because it inspires them to explore new ideas and ask meaningful questions. Resilience helps them to face challenges with determination and learn from mistakes. Most importantly, I hope to see them embody a Godly character—showing kindness, honesty, respect, and integrity in their interactions with others. These qualities not only contribute to their academic success but also help them grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals who positively impact their communities.

7. Three things that you are grateful for in life?

I’m grateful for many things in life, but three stand out. First, I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity to share Jesus with my learners openly. It’s a privilege to be able to guide them not only academically but also spiritually, helping them grow in their faith. Second, I’m grateful for having good health, which allows me to provide for my family and be there for them in every way possible. Lastly, I’m thankful for being able to do a job that I love—teaching is truly my passion, and it’s a blessing to make a positive impact on the lives of my students every day.

8.  Interesting hobbies that you enjoy?

I have a few hobbies that bring me a lot of joy. One of my favorites is going fishing with my family; it's a peaceful time where we can bond and enjoy nature together. I also love spending time with our horses—there’s something calming and fulfilling about caring for them and being around such majestic animals. Another hobby I enjoy is journaling. It helps me reflect, express my thoughts, and keep track of the moments that matter most in my life. These activities all bring balance and happiness to my days!
