The first Saints Speak Out public speaking event was the talk of the town this past Wednesday (13 November) as learners showed their skills with informative and constructive monologues.
One of Saints’ teachers, Ms. Carlie Barnard, organised the event as a platform for learners to participate in public speaking. It was a fantastic occasion for the learners to let their voices be heard in front of a panel of judges as well as their friends and parents.
20 Grade 7-11 learners participated in this public speaking event that saw Tiffany Sibanda winning the senior competition (Grade 9-11) and Oratlile Sekhampu (Gr 7-8) winning the junior competition.

Tiffany’s superb speech titled “The Life of an Overachiever” wowed the judges, whilst Oratile’s well-constructed statements in her “Kindness” speech gave her first place in her category.
Masego Mosia (second) and Kgalalelo Olaniran (third) also finished in the top three of the junior competition.
Tshedi Motswadira (second) and Angel Muchenje (third) also performed well in the senior competition.
